BACKGROUND
Dreaming for a prosperous Bangladesh, Samaj Unnayan Proyash (SUP), registered with NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh, founded on 4th April 1991 with a view to alleviating hunger, illiteracy, ailment and poverty as well as to establishing humanity, morality, education and health. Enhancing the unprivileged society towards the light of humanitarian and social development is one of the goals it preserves. It believes that Bangladesh possesses an immense possibility to uphold its different entity in the race of globalization if the large amount of people can be taken to a sustainable development especially on the basic needs. In this respect SUP has kept itself working in upgrading the poor, distressed and back footed people and most importantly the children undertaking jointly with the social organizations formed at local, national or international levels.
SUP has also expanded its working periphery for the Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh in collaboration with various humanitarian organizations at a large engagement with the approval of concerned authorities. Beneficiaries.

SAMAJ UNNAYAN PROYASH (SUP- Social Upliftment Program) is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit charitable organization in Bangladesh.
To upgrade the socio-economic condition of disadvantaged people.
Objectives:
· To identify the needs of the underprivileged people and work to improve their social conditions through implementing humanitarian and charitable programs and projects.
· To plan and implement sustainable development programs including formal and non-formal education, adult literacy, health service enhancement, water supply and sanitation, social forestry and infrastructure development activities.
· To mobilize people in order to create social movements against anti-social activities like dowry, cruelty to women and children, injustice, discrimination and other social vices and malady prevailing in society.
· To develop effective human resources by organizing training programs, workshops, seminars, vocational training etc. in various fields in accordance with the needs of the society.
· To carry out income-generating activities and promoting micro entrepreneurship with the aim of alleviating poverty and enabling the poor and underprivileged people to become self-reliant.
